Terms of Service

Effective: March 30, 2026

These terms govern your use of JobDocket, operated by 1001537887 Ontario Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. By using JobDocket, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

JobDocket is a voice-first field documentation tool for independent tradespeople. It helps you create job records, quotes, change orders, and invoices from voice recordings and form inputs. The service is provided as a web application accessible through your mobile browser.

2. Your Account

You need an account to use JobDocket. You authenticate via a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and for all activity on your account.

3. What You Can Do

  • Record voice notes and have them transcribed and structured into documents
  • Create, edit, review, and export job records, quotes, change orders, and invoices
  • Share documents with your clients via email, link, or download
  • Manage your business profile to auto-fill documents

4. Free and Paid Use

You get 3 free document uses across all tool types. After that, a subscription is required at $9.99 CAD per month. Invoices generated from existing job records do not count as a separate use. Payment is processed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime — your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period.

5. Your Content

You own everything you create in JobDocket — your recordings, transcripts, documents, and business information. We do not claim any ownership of your content. We use your content solely to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use JobDocket for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal use
  • Resell or redistribute the service without written permission

7. Document Accuracy

JobDocket uses automated transcription and extraction to structure your voice recordings into documents. These outputs are always presented for your review and editing before sending. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all documents before sharing them with clients. We do not guarantee the accuracy of automated transcription or field extraction.

8. Availability

We work to keep JobDocket available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobDocket and 1001537887 Ontario Inc. are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using JobDocket at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
